Ali Shaihani Food Industries was established in 1981 for the production of snack foods based on corn grits; its well-equipped plant is located in the Al-Wadi Al-Kabir industrial area, employing over 300 people. It is the producer of Oman’s first and most popular corn snack, ‘Pofak Oman’, a cheese and butter flavoured corn curl. It has, since, diversified its product range with corn curls, corn balls, and corn sticks in various flavours, such as cheese, butter, chicken, maggi, hot and sour, toffee and caramel, all of which are manufactured to international standards. Its product range comprises the following:
